Rick Rawald, President

Rick is originally from Woodside, New York and went on to attend the City College of New York where he Majored in architecture and business law. Rick has been with Sysco for over 20 years and is the President of Sysco Jacksonville. He is also involved with many business and non-profit orginizations. Rick sits on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House and Visit Jacksonville. He is also a committee member for March of Dimes, FRLA, and the Gator Bowl.

April Dobes, CFO & VP of Finance

April started with Sysco in 1996 as a college intern. She went on to earn her Bachelor's from Jacksonville University in International Business and Finance and her Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Florida. In her 15 years with the company, she has served in many roles within the finance department and now serves as our CFO and Vice President of Finance.

Darryl Wakefield, VP of Multi-Unit Sales

Darryl began his Sysco career in 1993. Darryl has served in various leadership roles which include Marketing Specialist, District Sales Manager and Director of Training. In 2005 Darryl was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Multi Unit Sales and in 2007 he was promoted to Vice President of Multi Unit Sales at Sysco Jacksonville.  

Trey Stroud, VP of Territory Sales

Trey's Sysco career began in 1997 as a Marketing Associate with Sysco Charlotte where he was recognized as aChairman's Club member. He was quickly promoted to District Sales Manager where he went on to earn 4 Pacesetter recognitions and was then promoted to Regional Sales Manager. In 2006, Trey was offered the Director of Territory Sales position with Sysco Raleigh where he eventually became the Sr. Director of Territory Sales. This year we welcomed Trey to Sysco Jacksonville as our Vice President of Territory Sales. Trey holds a degree from UNC- Pembroke in Psychology and served in the US Army.

Brian Jahns, VP of Operations

Brian started with Sysco in 1992 at Sysco Arkansas as an order selector, forklift operator, loader, and lead-man and in 1998 he was promoted to night shift supervisor. In 2002, Brian transferred to Sysco of Jackson, Miss. and was promoted to Director of Inbound/ Outbound Warehousing. He then became the Sr. Director of Inbound/ Outbound Operations in 2008. In 2011, Brian brought his 24 years of foodservice distribution experience with him to Sysco Jacksonville as the Vice President of Operations.

Andrew Steiner, Director of Human Resources

Andrew is a native of Annapolis, Maryland; but grew up and was educated in Glasgow, Scotland where he attended St. Andrew's Secondary and The Glasgow College of Food Technology with a Major in Food Science. Andrew began his career with Sysco in 1997 and now serves as the Director of Human Resources.

Rich Hall, Director of Business Resources & Marketing

Jacksonville native and a graduate of the University of North Florida with degrees in Business Management and Marketing. Started with Sysco in 1995 as Marketing Associate and won several annual sales awards. Had held the positions of District Manager, Regional Director of Sales, Director of Training and General Sales Manager. Currently leading the Marketing effort in the role of Director of Business Resources.

Kristen Steele, Director of Merchandising

Kristen started her career with Sysco 11 years ago. She has held positions within the company as Marketing Associate, District Sales Manager, Regional Director of Sales, and her current position as Dircetor of Merchandising. Kristen attended Jacksonville University and earned her Masters in Business Administartion in 2008.

Mike Wentworth, Regional Director of Territory Sales

Mike Started with Sysco in 2000.  He has held the positions of Marketing Associate, District Sales Manager, Regional Director of Territory Sales, and Director of Multi-Unit Sales.  Mike attend school at the University of New Hampshire where he earned his associates degree.  He is currently a member of the Board for NFHLA and am also a member of the FRLA and CMAA.

Dave Czerw, Director of Credit

Originally from Utica, New York, Dave is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. After college, he attended Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Upon graduation, he served four years on active duty, and was stationed aboard the USS Antrim, home ported in Mayport, Florida. Dave began his Sysco career in 1992 and is now Sysco Jacksonville's Director of Credit.

Mike Siplin, Director of Risk Management & Safety

Mike has more than 15 years of progressively responsible experience addressing workers compensation, auto liability and product liability claims, supervising employees and participating in mediations. Mike has a combined 12 years as Safety Supervisor and Director of Risk Management at Sysco Central Florida. In November 2010, Mike was transferred to Sysco Jacksonville where he continued as Director of Risk Management. Mike is certified in HACCP, ICS, OSHA and DOT. While at Sysco Central Florida Mike was an intricate key in obtaining and holding the award for the Most Outstanding Safety Opco for three consecutive years. Mike has proven he holds extensive knowledge in his current field and makes it a priority to remain current on any compliance and procedure changes.

Carlton Brodie, Director of Operations

Carlton began his career with Hallsmith Sysco in 1986 as a nightshift selector, forklift operator, and then an outbound checker. In 1988, he transferred to Sysco Jacksonville to become the Night Shift Supervisor. During his 25 years with the company he has filled many roles including Fresh Start Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, and is now the Director of Operations.
